From UL website: "UL evaluates surge suppressors for fire, electric shock and personal injury hazards, and also measures and categorizes the devices for how much voltage they can "clamp", thus preventing excess voltage from passing through to electronic equipment."

UL refers to this as a suppressed voltage rating. With ranges from 330V (volts) to 4000V. Any let through under 330V gets a 330V rating. A higher suppressed voltage rating means higher voltage let through.

ANSI/IEEE C62.41 Surge test:
• L-N & L-G is less than 10 volts let through on surges and spikes
• N-G is less than 0.5 volts let through on surges and spikes

Note: Discontinued models are removed from the UL website. Any change in internal components requires UL approval and may require retesting to be UL listed.
